"Goodfella" was the first song I ever wrote, performed and recorded. Even before I was ever considering being a musician. I wrote this song as a way to not only pay tribute to my good friend, Shaughn, who tragically took his own life, but as a way to help me process and deal with his passing.

This particular recording of Goodfella is showcasing the song in its earliest stages when I wrote it. I had no vision beyond the vocals and guitar work simply because I wasn't that experienced. I like this version because it has a lot of energy and gives an upbeat vibe to the track which lends itself well to Shaughn's vibrant personality.

Goodfella is a charity single where 100% of the proceeds will be going towards the Shaughn Memorial Fund at Concordia University of Edmonton. This fund helps create expand successful mental health programs, pilot some new ones, provide services to help students directly to make positive mental health choices, and identify those in distress.
